Translation is a technical, creative, and interpretive process. If your target language is English, you need a translator whose first language is English and who can accurately and idiomatically express your non-English text into proper English.

I can translate your Latin, Italian, or Spanish text into English for you. 

The study of ancient languages focuses heavily not only on the proper interpretation of the grammatical and semantic components of language but also on the understanding of its cultural circumstances that must play a part in accurate interpretation. Having spent many years translating Latin, I understand the importance of expressing both ancient and modern languages in a way that respects the original grammatical constructions while reading fluidly in English.

My study of Latin has complemented years of studying Spanish language and literature. In addition, I confidently translate Italian into English due to my graduate-level Italian linguistics and literature courses.

I also lived in Italy for a year and half,
first to study the language and then during two research/work fellowships.
